CLASSES
Due to the corona virus there are no
in person classes scheduled for the forseeable future. Please send me a
message if you would like to be notified when future classes are scheduled. If you are interested in taking any of my classes let me know and I'll add you to my email list when
a class is scheduled.
Interested in learning how to
create your own mosaics? I teach classes in Western Washington at my Studio
in Seattle and at the BARN on Bainbridge Island. I'm also happy to schedule a private class for a group of 6 or more students at your location
when I have availability in my schedule.
LEARN
TO MOSAIC CLASS or MAKE A MOSAIC MIRROR: Create your own mosaic in this hands on
class. During this two day oclass you will learn a large variety of mosaic techniques
including material selection, design, cutting, mortaring and grouting plus you take home your own completed piece (see
sample images at left).
All materials and tools will be provided. Wear work clothes and bring a lunch on full
days.
ADVANCED CLASS OPTIONS
- BEYOND BASICS Mosaic Class*
- This class is intended for students who
have general mosaic experience and would like to create a more advanced project. Bring a pre-sealed base, ideas and pottery, tiles
or other objects to mosaic. We will design and layout your project, problem solve
and begin the mosaic process. Be prepared to
finish and grout your project after the class on your own.
Basic materials provided. Bases and
mosaic materials available for an additional fee.

- HOW TO CREATE A FLAT PANEL MOSAIC*
- Perfect for tables and other surfaces that
need to be flat, the "reverse" process allows you to design a mosaic upside down
to ensure a flat surface, or when you can only work a small area at a time. Best
with ceramic or small glass tiles (not intended for china or curved pieces).
Students will complete samples and with basic mosaic experience you will be then ready to
work on more complex projects on your own.
INDEPENDENT STUDY
Have a project that you need extra help
with, problem solving or learn a new technique, privae classes are available at my studio
on Seattle for an hourly rate. Please contact me to discuss.
